Mamarazzi doesn't actually run many "Paparazzi" shots of celebrity parents with their children... we used to, but after seeing the above video of Kate Moss and her daughter waiting for their car at LAX, we're sticking to the celebs themselves (unless they are walking a red carpet with their kids or at some event where they know they will be photographed).
The video was used to pass legislation to fine paparazzi $5,000 if they interfere with either traffic or the operation of a car...
It's a start.
What do you think? Are celebrity children fair game or do we need tougher laws to protect them?
That's dreadful...but to be fair...she didn't seem that concerned with her child's pic getting taken, she was ramming the front of the cart, where her daughter was sitting, into the paparazzi.
1. Why, when the cops were hiding Kate behind the counter, did she keep popping her head up so the paparazzi could get their money shots?
2. Why wasn't Kate staying under the counter as to comfort her daughter?
3. Am I the only one who couldn't find her daughter when the cops rushed Kate to her limo?
4. WAY too much craziness here.
Kimi - I noticed that too... I wondered if she thought if she kept going they would clear a path? I think having those flashbulbs going of is a completely disorientating experience...
Sarah - Looking for her car service? I'm not sure... however, LAX is private ground and the powers that be have the authority to ban/bar paparazzi from creating such an unsafe environment, not just for celebs, but for everyone else who is trying to move around the damn terminal.
I am not so sure it was as much worrying about pics being taken as the manner in which it was being done. This is just sick. At some point in there, you see someone carry her daughter away, leaving her behind the counter. At the end when she's in the van and the flashes are lighting up the interior, you can see the person who took her daughter to the van way ahead of when Kate was taken. I don't know what they think they're going to accomplish; trying to piss her off and get her to throw something at them? Knock a few of them upside the head with a bag? They deserve that and more. 50 photogs taking a couple hundred shots each at a freaking airport, the pics can't be worth much, if anything. It's not like they were catching her running out of the White House half dressed at 3am...
Ah. Must've blinked when Kate's daughter was taken to safety. Saw it on my second viewing. Feeling a little better now. But not much.
Ummm, that was way informative Nacy. Thanks for the info...*insert eye roll here*
I am glad they didn't stalk after the little girl when she was taken away. Sad that some celebs have to be apart from their children to keep them safe.
I couldn't watch all of this video. How horrible.
Completely disgusting. And a security issue for all travelers, not just celebs. I don't know about you, but I don't think any idiot with a press pass and a camera should be allowed to wander around airports at will.
That is really gross. It made my stomach churn. Really? Why would humans want to treat other humans that way? I think it's lame that we HAVE to talk about whether laws are needed and people can't just have a little respect for a kid that was probably scared.
Wow. I'm not a Kate fan, but that really is horrendous. If Kate were alone I wouldn't be that upset, but with a kid present, I kind want to be extreme and say the paps are a hair away from child endangerment. And not just for Kate's kid, but anyone else they might walk over trying to get the money shot. They clearly weren't watching or trying to be careful.
I also wonder if Kate was popping her head up to keep the paps focused on her while the other woman took the kid away safely. Or am I giving her too much credit?
