Yet another Bad Dad of the Week. The good news is it's not Michael Lohan.

We really came down from our Halloween-candy-fueled high when we heard that Michael Jackson's father Joe is taking Michael's estate to court.

Joe Jackson

Think about it. This is It! tops the box office; the soundtrack breaks the Billboard 100, and Joe "Child Abuse" Jackson shows up with his hand out.

Seems that before Michael died, he had been giving his father a monthly allowance. But Michael died in June, and the allowance stopped. Michael left $26,000 a month to his mother and $60,000 a month to his children. But he didn't arrange for an allowance for his father. Joe Jackson's sole source of income is now his monthly Social Security check.

In court documents Jackson claimed monthly expenses of $1,200 for rent; $2,500 for eating out; $2,000 in airfare ... and Lord knows how much for sunglasses, cosmetic dentistry, and snappy little fedoras.

We're sorry to break it to you, Joe, but the gravy train has left.

Speaking of Gravy Train, maybe it's time you developed an appetite for dog food. Either that, or move back in with your wife.

Assuming she'll let you.

That's hilarious!! (and so true)

$2500 for eating out????? A MONTH?? What... does his cheap ass $1200 a month apartment not have a kitchen? You know the saddest thing about this? Somehow, he will prevail. The rest of the family, whoever controls the estate, will decide to just pay him off rather than spend the money to duke it out in court.

Flutterby, I thought exactly the same thing. Even if he's spending $50 on dinner every night, that leaves $30 for lunch and breakfast, and hello? How much for a bowl of All-Bran, which he totally needs because he's obviously FULL OF IT.

You're right about him prevailing, too. Michael should have left him $1.00 a month to prove that he wasn't simply overlooking him.

Michael should have specifically stated he did not want him having anything. It's obvious he didn't; he may have been scatterbrained, etc... but I am sure his attorneys were not and certainly would not have just forgotten to ask if he intended to leave anything to that rat bastard of a father. He is apparently not getting anything from his remaining kids who are actually earning a living... gee... I wonder why.And I seriously hope moving back in with wifey is NOT an option. He doesn't need to be anywhere near those poor kids of Michael's; being there with their grandmother is probably the closest they've ever been to any semblance of a *normal* life.
