Back in June, we mentioned that music mogul Russell Simmons and his ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons were negotiating child support for their two daughters, ages 6 and 9. It appears that Russell caved and gave her what she was asking for. He will be paying the ex-Mrs. Simmons $40,000 per month until the younger girl is 19 years old.

Let the Mamas say that again: FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. EVERY MONTH.
That's $480,000 a year.
Damn.
What on earth will she spend it all on?

These people are so far removed from the normal reality it's not even funny. First off, if he caved and gave her what she wanted then there's more to it than appears. He was probably afraid she'd ask for more and was thrilled that the amount was so low. He's also probably got a few things he didn't want coming out in public if he had to fight her in court over it. Of course it also puts a lid on the potential guilt when he doesn't play much of a part in their lives otherwise. And secondly, she's got her own money generating empire so it's not like she needed the money. In this case, I truly hope she uses it for the girls and saves the rest. Maybe they will use it for a decent education and not whore themselves out for it like their mother of VERY dubious talent.
$40,000 until the youngest is 19?? Really? Shouldn't the number drop a bit when the oldest is 19. and why 19?!? I don't even make $40,000 a year. guess I should have married a music mogel first and then married hubby...LOL
