At least you've never signed your children up for this:
Mamarazzi wonders just how loud the outcry would be if this was a video of little girls on a pole?

Oh hell to the NO. That cannot be real. I felt sick just watching it.
AAAAARRRRRRGH. Excuse me. I'm heading to the laundry room to bleach my brain.
Uhhhh, mamas? It says content has been deleted. And now I'm dying to know what it was and I fear I won't do anything else all day until my curiousity has been satisfied! Help!
i saw about 15 seconds of this earlier today...it looked like a courtroom exhibit on law&order:s.v.u
Kristin: The video was little boys doing Chippendale's dancing. EXACTLY like the real thing. VERY disturbing.
I'm really glad the content was deleted. It made me quite uncomfortable, to the point where I stopped watching pretty quickly. I feel so terrible for those children.
Your speculation about how people would have been more upset if it had been girls in such a sexualized situation is a good one, but, then again, maybe because it was boys it made it that much more obvious that the line had been crossed. I'm thinking of all those crazy come-hither JonBenet videos and the clothes people put on their little girls without giving it a second thought...it's that slippery slope problem. We don't expect our little boys to dress and behave like Chippendales dancers not only because it is totally unacceptable, but also because it is so far out of the realm of their reality that it doesn't begin to make sense. Girls from 6 year-olds to tweens play with Bratz dolls that glamorize an infantalized version of female sexual maturity, and the lessons they learn from this seep into their choices and behavior until it's hard for the culture to view that behavior objectively. Still, I prefer to think that a similar video involving girls would have been similarly received.
I love the new look. I think I'm glad I couldn't view the video. Is there any truth to Katie Holmes being pg again?
