We're late to the party, but still we feel the need to weigh in on the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair Cover Scandal.
It's this photo of Miley and her daddy, Billy Ray... we can't help but feel confused when we look at it and so we turn to you, our dear readers, and ask for your opinion -
It's just ICKY.
Would have been better if Mom were in the mix.
I've read the articles, including Miley's interview for Vanity Fair. The CHILD talks at great length about how "Sex and the City" is her favorite TV show. Papa and Mama Cyrus may talk about how they're protecting her, but if they're allowing their daughter to watch that show, I have my doubts about their standards.
Don't let anybody kid you, these folks are positioning Miley to jettison all those little girl fans for the older market. They know EXACTLY what they are doing. This was all a very calculated and it's disingenuous to act like they didn't know. They want it both ways. Disney's time with her is almost up.
I find it a bit creepy... it looks too much like a lover's pose to me.
But maybe that's the whole point... Annie L. was trying to show the creepy undercurrent in the relationship between father and daughter?

i dunno,...that kind of "two loners against the world" look generally requires an army of toadies, handlers, and assorted hangers-on to acheive!

If I walked into someone's home and they had a photo like that of their husband and daughter above the fireplace, I would be tempted to call CPS and I know I wouldn't let my daughter go there!
