Isn't Miley wearing the same dress that Geena Davis wore to the Oscars years ago? It looks like they also forgot to hem it....she looks nice though.

I'm not a fan of Miley's image change ...she looks so harsh. However, that is a flattering picture of her.
As for the green penoir gown, all I can think of is "Cecil the Sea Monster." Poor girl ...her stylist should be fired.
Sue - yeah, the dress is kind of sucky on Saoirise, but at least it's sucky & age appropriate... I really felt Mylie (Miley? Myly?!!) looked wayyyyy too old!

Since my daughters really love Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, I've been pretty appalled lately by what she's been wearing and how much makeup she's troweled on. She's not at all age-appropriate, which sends out a bad message to her pre-teen fans.
As for Oscar night, Miley's dress was lovely, but not necessarily right for her. As for that other girl, what an awful awful awful dress. Just dreadful.
OMG, the girl in the green dress has an eating disorder! Have you seen how big her head is on that body. If it were my child I think Miley looks the healthiest. How come no one else has picked this up??
I didn't notice any heavier-than-typical makeup on Mylie, but I LOVED her dress and when I fist saw her on tv with it, I said out loud "WOW, she's not hanging out of it anywhere, and she looks age-appropriate, too!" Now let's talk about that green nitie thing--WUGH!!

Saoirse looks like she's fifteen going on sixty. The dress, the hair, blech. On the plus side, she doesn't appear to have enough upper body strength to get up in anyone’s business.

It's difficult for teens to try and be elegant. I am thinking we should just be glad they have all their bits covered up more than adequately. I am also thinking Miss Ryan should have consulted someone on the green toenail polish. Or at least worn some actual shoes.
I don't think Miss Ryan looks all that bad...that is if you take away the green, harsh hair, over-done eyebrows and lace....
My girls love Mylie...and they thought she looked wonderful. Much better look (if not quite right for her age) than that of the teen EMO/goth/vampire queen look I've seen her in!
