It's also not easy to get your Prius hybrid to reach speeds of 100 mph. Yet Al Gore III, the youngest child and only son of the former Vice President, managed it. And promptly got pulled over for speeding.

Then the police noticed that the Prius reeked of reefer. Although it was possible that the car was running on some kind of hemp-derived ethanol, the police searched it, anyway. And what did they find? About an ounce of weed and a few prescriiption drugs. For which Gore did not have a prescription.

Basically, enough drugs to toss even a spoiled hotel heiress into the pokey for a long time. So they arrested him.

And here's the mug shot to prove it.

We aren't much given to political commentary, but we suspect that this could have been prevented. Maybe if Nancy Reagan had Just Said No to explicit rap lyrics, and Tipper had gone on an anti-drug crusade, this wouldn't have happened. Then again, who knows?

And hey, at least he wasn't driving an SUV.

Is anyone really surprised that Al Gore's son got pulled over with weed while driving a Prius? If there was any type of trouble for a Gore to get into, this is very appropriate.

He was crap in Firefly anyway Im glad they bumped him off.

Sadly, the part of this story which most interested me was the Prius-Going-100 bit... the drugs ? Meh, not too surprising.

No one should be surprised that this young man got pulled over and had illegal substances on his person. What surprises me is that it took this long. I lived in DC when Gore was the VP and was tapped into the private school community, including the one where 3rd went (and Jr. before him). This was a kid who was experimenting with substances at an early age. Even back then, Mom and Dad were in denial.

To recap: a crown prince with three doting older sisters + too much money and entitlement + parents with a larger agenda = the mug shot above.

My only question is: Were the drugs in question organic or conventional?

An Inconvenient truth I think.

Isn't he the son who was in a serious car accident when he was little?

If you are willing to buy a car, you would have to receive the personal loans. Moreover, my sister commonly uses a financial loan, which is the most useful.
