You may have noticed that we tend to focus on celebrity parenting, i.e., the way celebrities screw up their young. But sometimes we have to focus on celebrities' parents, i.e., the way celebrities are being screwed up by their parents.
Take Lindsay Lohan.
She's back in rehab for the second time in five months, and we're surprised it didn't happen sooner, what with the public drunkenness, the crashed cars, and the cocaine use.
Do we need to remind you that Lindsay is still a minor? So what have her parents been up to?
When she's not uttering little meaningless soundbites like "everything is under control," and "we're all just figuring it out," Lindsay's mother appears to have kept busy dyeing her hair to match her daughter's. Note to Dina: it's mother/daughter outfits, stupid.
Then there's Linday's father.
In addition to releasing open letters to Lindsay to any two-bit tabloid that will print them various media outlets, Lindsay's father has kept busy doing his own rehab work while he serves out a jail term for driving under the influence. But wait! Now he's planning on opening a rehab center!
Let's hope he gives Lindsay the friends and family rate.
In the meantime, we think Lindsay should ask some of her on-screen parental figures, like Dennis Quaid, Michael Keaton, or Jane Fonda, to take on the job off-screen. They'd do a better job of acting like parents.

Right--I guess I should have said "not old enough to drink legally," rather than "minor." Because that's what I meant.
Hmm...so it seems like LL was wrong when she said last month in Bazaar that she didn't need rehab & she just went there to rest. Too bad this time she is only staying there to avoid getting arrested or else I'm sure she'd be in & out all the time like her last attempt.
Not to go on & on but I don't imagine LL is ready for rehab. I think she likes partying like she does. It seems like it makes her feel important & relevant.
Yep, it's obvious that rehab is an attempt to stay out of jail, which would probably be a better place for LiLo to get clean and sober. I'm sure the long arm of the law is waiting for her when she comes out; the only question is will she actually be punished or will it be a slap on the wrist? Too bad her mother is too busy mooching off the daughter to actually, you know, um, parent.
ladies ladies ladies, Lilo is OVER the age of 18. She is lost to us as parents. We need to use our powers to save children hat are still rescue able (???). We need to help this child....

Yes, I wanted a girl also. But 2 boys later I realized dressing them as such just won't make it so. We need to help Celine see the errors of her way. SHe can make him look like a girl but it just aint so baby. Though all that pounding on her boney chest while she sings may have dislodged some part of her brains logic center.
